An Update on Haiti

While we typically post to keep you up-to-date on our programs and our work, today we felt the need to reach out to provide you with an update about the current situation in Haiti.

Life in Haiti has been especially difficult in recent months. Heightened insecurity, protests and exorbitant prices due to inflation have made everything more challenging in Haiti including continuing our work. Hospitals, businesses and nonprofit organizations are reducing services, and in some instances, closing their doors completely.

Sadly, we are not immune to these challenges. We too have been forced to reduce our program activities, limiting mobile clinics and services provided in rural areas because the fuel shortages have made it difficult to get to these locations. Additionally, we must take extra precautions to work around roadblocks and insecurity to ensure the safety of our staff, and this has impacted all aspects of our operations.

Project Medishare is doing everything within our means to keep our clinic doors open and our programs running as we continue to help thousands of Haitians each week with our programs, but we ask that you please keep Haiti and Project Medishare in your thoughts and prayers.
