PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti–Civil War medicine was a phrase used by news reporters as the first few days trauma teams worked under pressure, trying to save as many lives as possible with little equipment and under very difficult conditions.
More than two weeks later, the new hospital where Project Medishare/UM Global Institute are located, treatment for these earthquake victims is getting better.
One example of this is the x-ray machine donated by Carestream Health and AutoGov to the Project Medishare/UM Global Institute hospital set up at the Port-au-Prince airport.
With the excessive amount of breaks, crush injuries, and fractures and x-ray machine helps doctors make better treatment decisions.
Thank you Carestream Health and AutoGov!
